Helo everybody, am franca. I need help with buying my children coat and school schools.

I am only receiving child benefits and child tax credit. This is because I have two properties, i live in one and the other is on rent. I can barely make ends meet as both properties are not morgage free. I still have to pay for service charge for the rented flat.

I left my took took the voluntary redundancy from my job due to an operation, cannot get DLA because they said i can walk arround and do things myself (in oder wards i am not house bound ).

i cannot get help with the  interest on my own personal home becuase they took the rent from the rented property as income ( which is silly because i do not actually get this money in my pocket)

i am frustrated because it all looks as if i am a victim of my own success. I did not ever think i will ever be in this possition but, above all my children are surfering. we can hardly feed well on the benefit i receive. I am actively looking for work now because i feel better now, am 51yrs old and that is not easy either.

Pls help i do not know where to get help. i am due in court next week for the morgage arrears on my home, everthing i have worked for in the last 25yrs is slipping away from me. The rented property is on the market but no one is buying. i feel i have failed my children. pls someone need to help me.

Hi there layo and welcome to One Space.

I am sorry to read you are having such a hard time of it, especially as it sounds as though you have worked really hard to financially provide for you and your family.

Have a look at this link for Help with School Clothing Costs (click)

It sounds as though you could do with some Welfare and Debt Advice (click), you could ask advice on your court visit about the mortgage arrears and also about the situation with the DLA.

You might also be interested in getting some Housing Advice. Visit these links where you can ask our experts for some advice or information.

You might also be interested to see if there are any grants available in your area, by doing a search on the Turn2us website.

This is a tough time for you, but we are here to support you through this, let us know how you get on.

How many children do you have?
