Hi,

I am a lone parent to my beautiful daughter, sharing a tiny back bedroom with her in my parents house, since splitting up with my husband of ten years. My daughter is depressed over our living situation and begs for me to find us a home of our own. I am not working, but studying to hopefully be able to get a good job. Both of us are often depressed here, as my dad is a bit like a dictator, not allowing anyone to feel relexed. We just want a place where we feel safe and secure. The council will not help, saying I do not have enough points. During my marriage I tried to take my life and I refuse to be brought down so low again. People say things will get better, but I can't see it. At least reading some of the posts here I know I am not alone.
