Hello there. and welcome

Maybe you could tell us a bit more about yourself. How long have you been a single parent and how old are your children? How is life as a single parent in the Philippines?

Its sounds very hard joy, I have had a look at the Solo Parents Association and the Solo Parents Welfare Act, it seems that to gain benefit from these two things you need:

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS IN SECURING A SOLO PARENT ID?

1. Barangay certificate residency in the area;

2. Documents/evidences that  the applicant is a solo parent (e.g., death certificate of spouse, declaration of nullity of marriage, medical certificate – if incapacitated);

3. Income Tax Return (ITR) or certification from the barangay/municipal treasurer

Membership benefits and Application Forms for SPAP

Requirements :

1.     Fully completed application.

2.     2 valid ID and (2) Pcs. of 2x2 picture

3.     Barangay Clearance and Cedula

4.     Copies of birth certificates for all children

You have mentioned earlier that you can't work because you have papers you need to fix, what are they?

Hello joy, Anna has a couple of days off now but I will have a chat to her when she gets back to ask her about the source of her information, Ok?

How can you get your surname transferred then? Would you have to use a lawyer?

Hi joy, all the information I gave was from the Philippines. I am glad that you have found it helpful.

It says that if you have the paper requirements for the Solo Parent ID card you need to apply to the City/Municipal Social Welfare and Development (C/MSWD) Office. Have a look at this Solo Parents Welfare Act and Parental Leave (click), for further information.

SPAP is Solo Parents Association Philippines.(click for more information)

Here is some information on changing your name in the Philippines

Let us know how how things are going smiley
