Hi everybody i just wondered has anybody made any new years resolutions for the new year? i know i am jumping the gun a bit as we havent even got xmas out of the way yet! i have made mine already,i know we all must have struggeled with things in 2011 and i really hope 2012 is a better and good year for everybody x

MY NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS

1,To chase things up that are important to me as i tend to let things slide (this year i wont be!)

2,To be more organised with everything really! the house work washing paper work ect.

3,To be more positive about things

4,To believe in myself more i can do things and i am not stupid!

5,To deal with my son in a more calmer patient way even though sometimes he drives me up the wall!

6,To get out there more socially even though i love my cosy nights in i know its good for me.

7,To hopefully do some voluntry work whilst i am looking for a job.

1.  To get out more socially despite the need for babysitters (starting my fencing course in Jan - whoop whoop!)

2.  To cook proper meals for myself.

To finish my kitchen off!!  (I have had the fridge freezer in the corner of the lounge since about last February and till I get that sorted and back in the kitchen I can't put up the dining table that has patiently been waiting in flat pack form for ages.  Getting my house sorted out is a bit like solving a Rubics cube - everything has to happen in a certain order or nothing falls in to place!!)

These all sound great!!!! Pg, could you cook double each time and then freeze half, that way you would have a quick nutritious meal on those nights when you just think BLEURGH ?

Sometimes a day at a time is easier - and after all these years it has sort of become a habit for me.

One thing about resolutions - they can be renewed each day...

just making my list now but

stealing elle's number 5 (sounds like a perfume!) being more patient with 13 year old - i do know that if i let what she is saying wash over me then its forgotten in an instant but if i say something back it starts a war -

learn to love myself - not an easy one!

live for the moment!

I so agree with you lrh thats how it is with my soon to be 13 year old,and we both like to have the last word lol and learning to love yourself is a graet one ive been trying to do that for a long time and im half way there, and im sure you will too

One way to start is to make a list of things you like about yourself. These can relate to your personality, your appearance, your talents, anything really. Firmly ignore the things you don't like, just concentrate on the positive. Then underneath the list write a powerful comment such as I am a valuable person and I love myself. Pin it up on your wall somewhere where you will see it every day Laughing

thanks Ella

great one Louise - do you know that because i had lost nearly 3 stone because of the upset (put a little back on now!) the other day i got in a pair of jeans two sizes smaller and i loved it - i really like my new figure - albeit i know i am still overweight but its a great place to start - even the kids commented on how great i look in my new jeans!

Well there is one thing to start your list with: I love my new figure!

This is why women never throw those two sizes too small clothes away. (I don't anyway) Well done on the weight loss lrh.

I am definately going to keep on top of things this year. No keeping unused items, things that have been sitting in cupboards for years, sort paper work out on a regular basis.

Have made a start already, so just need to keep it up for the rest of 2012 hehe.

Have not made any resolutions myself, thought that i would consider this for a while as other years i have hastily said that i am going to do this or that and fail to stick to  what i had said i was going to do.

Will keep you posted when i have one, it's great that you have all been busy decluttering etc, well done you littleredhen on the weight loss, elle thats some list you have there.

Hope you are able to keep up with that paperwork hazeleyes it builds up so quickly.

fircunow i hope you get your kitchen sorted and that table out of it's box.

Louise i hope your foot is on the mend you could always do arm chair exercises?
