It is the big day for sparkling lime today and on behalf of One Space, as well as on behalf of myself, wishing you many happy returns.

I know this year hasn't been an easy one for you and you are not anticipating a "fun" day because of various things, espcially with your poor doggy Cry but I still want to send my good wishes and start a chorus of:

"For SHE'S a jolly good fellow........"

Thank you very much for your birthday wishes - and the singing!

Thank you for the lottery ticket Alison - what a wonderful idea!  I shall let you know if I win Laughing  Wink

I had breakfast in bed - Cornflakes, followed by toast and some orange juice.

Leisurely opening card session - with a lovely one made by the children.  I've had loads of chocolates!

Mother-in-law called, asking if I wanted her to ask the children outright what they thought of The Git going to uni.  I said no...  She's going to on Wednesday though when we go for tea.

Took the children out for dinner - which wasn't the best I had.  The ommelette had to go back and a fresh one made.  The first chef didn't know how to make one!!!!!!!!!!!

Children enjoyed it, and I have brought home Death by Chocolate for desert (a gift Laughing  )  I had some birthday money, which I put towards the dinner.  Well... what do I need anyway?

Mother-in-Law bought a cake from Asda for me Smile

The dog is still poorly.  My friend the dog groomer (she is very knowledgeable about dogs) figures that the kindest this now is to leave her quiet.  We're keeping her clean and hopefully comfy in her fluffy baskets (she has a few which I wash).  Her breathing gets very erratic, and we all start to hope that her time has come.

Time my Mum came for her, feel...

Thank you again.

Sounds really lovely Sparkling, and my mouth is watering over the thought of Death by chocolate. Yum Yum.

Fingers firmly crossed for Wednesday's ticket. You are very very welcome.

Breakfast in bed??? Wow, what a wonderful start to the day. (Tell the kids to keep that one up)hehe.

Am sure the dog is comfy, and getting superb attention from you all.

Have a great afternoon. A little snooze after the lunch maybe.

So So sorry Sparkling, to hear about your dog. Its an absolutely awful time for you all right now. I know she was your Mum's dog, which must make it seem all the more terrible.

Lots of hugs to you and the children.

Thank Alison.

We ended up taking the dog to be put to sleep yesterday evening.  Youngest was so very, very braver - braver than me!

I feel bereft today.

Can't complain about my dreams though, Bonnie running across fields to my Mum.

Still breaking down - which is daft really, as I know, eventually, I won't miss her.

Our other dog, Ben, looks so very sad.  I half hoped he might understand as he spent so much time in the basket with her.

Birthday cake is still in the box.  Perhaps tonight...

Hi sparklinglime

I am really sorry to hear about Bonnie.  I dread that day when it comes for us Cry

Your dream sounds lovely though at least your mum has her back now.

Do have your birthday cake tonight as a toast to Bonnie, she wouldn't want the household to be down. Ben needs you all to be strong too.

I hope you have a peaceful night tonight and Ben gets to stretch out and enjoy the extra room :)

Hello sparkling

How sad for you to lose Bonnie and what a wonderful dream you had of her running to your Mum. I am glad that her suffering is over and hope you and the children can mourn her together and think about the joy she brought to you all and your Mum. I agree with Anna about the cake; celebrate the love that you have had for Bonnie!
