Hello thetallman. I gather from your post that you have custody of your three children.

It sounds like financially things are a real struggle at present. Why not see whether our Money Expert can offer you any help or advice?

Mary.

Hi thetallman. Welcome along to One Space. Do you have family or friends that would be able to help you out, until your money situation is sorted? Again, until the money is sorted, ring the landlord and explain everything, it's always better to let these people know, whether it is council or a private landlord. Try the local church, as sometimes they can help regarding food. Are the children at school? Do they receive free school dinners?

If you click on the blue link, you'll be able to see if you have a foodbank near to you. They could also help you.  foodbank

I do hope you keep posting as we'll all try and give you support.

Hello thetallman,

Great ideas from mary and hazeleyes. A further suggestion from me is to contact your local Salvation Army as they supply food parcels to keep you going. Phone them on 0800 652 4276

Have you got Child benefit as well?

You can also apply for another crisis loan. If you are not working at the moment you will also be applying for Income Related Job Seekers Allowance or Income Support and help with your rent, so do please explain to your landlord

Good luck

Hi thetallman firstly welcome to One Space Smile

The help that you can get will depend on your circumstances thetallman, were you already in receipt of benefits? they will only back date any money to the date of your claim!! you could apply for another crisis loan, only they will only give you another amount that is supposed to see you through a few days and then you will be back to the same situation if your claim has not been sorted, if you were already in receipt of certain benefits (JSA, Income support, incapcity benefit or pension credits) before you had to make a new claim you could try applying for a budgeting loan.

Sadly there is not a whole lot of help, unless you have someone that can loan you some money?, do try the foodbank that hazeleyes has posted for you, and you could try our money expert, but be aware that they can take a few days to get back to you.

Hi thetallman - sorry to hear you're struggling - I do hope it's a very temporary glitch. Have you looked at the possibility of charitable funding - it is available for individuals and some of them can respond very quickly in an emergency like this.

You could try this as a starting point: http://www.turn2us.org.uk/

Good luck!!
