Can anyone come up with things to do with the kids in the holidays?

Blimey, I have no ideas for just one child, let alone 5 IDT hehe. Could the 12 year old have a friend round, and the 9 year old? Do the younger ones like playdoh, painting etc. C used to love all of this. Weather is picking up, so how about the park?

Hiya hazelyeyes it's not easy to entertaine because there's such different ages
Yeah they love playdough especially making it, I was told cornflower and water is good too but not tried that one yet.

We have been to the carboot sale given them all so many £ each
We've done movie night with popcorn
We've made pizza
It gets repetitive doesn't it
parks good as it is getting a bit warmer we had highs of 10 today!! yes highs of 10

Hi IDT i totally understand what you mean, i have four children and when they were little i used to find the holidays daunting especially the summer holiday.

Anyhow i think that what helped me was something similar to this article, i found a holiday planner on a website and planned out with the kids what we were going to do each day, something that my girls liked doing was having a pamper afternoon where we painted each others nails, they all liked playing games like man hunt and go fish which didn't cost a thing.

It can be trickey getting the balance right so that all can be involved, by giving them all the opportunity to choose an activity from a list that you come up with at least then they all have the chance to do something they want to do.
