My child is due to stray at his dad overnight tomorrow, are there any guidlines/anything that i need to set in place as a mother?

What has anybody else done/said that has worked well for them?

I feel anxious about it, and i want it to run as smooth as possible,

thanks all.

Hi PL

I know that feeling well. Does the child dad have a partner or is it just him?

How olds your child?

main things are times for drop off collection and who's doing the contact runs make sure these are clear.

depending on age, any bag buggy etc who's providing things.

any info to be passed on that he might not know that he needs to know, illness medication, sleep times etc.

and age depending tell child what's happening

and last but most important put your feet up, drink tea, have a lie in or plan something nice for yourself x enjoy

Hi pink lilly

It is understandable that your anxious, i'm imagining that this might be his first night away from you.

I think that IDT has pretty much covered the basics, the only thing that i would add is to make it sound exciting for your son if this is his first time away from you over night he maybe feeling anxious about it himself if he is old enough to understand what is happening.

Do try to enjoy your free time it will pass quickly Smile
