I new to this so bear with me.

I have been paying child maintenance for 0ver two years witch is only fair.she is now 18 and starting her second year as a child minder on an apprentice doing 40 hours a week on site. She is paid minimum wage for an apprentice and goes night collage for 4 hrs a week doing her nvq3 .from last year I don’t think I had to pay child M but said I would till she is 18.now she has turned 18 someone told me that I still have to pay it.she is paid by her employer minimum wage apprentice does 5 days a week has 14 days paid holidays and bank holidays off.

I have looked on all sorts of websites only to go around in curcules.

Could any one give me a yes or no answer.

If I do .then I will

And I don’t I wont

Ill just do as the law says.

Thanks

If I'm right, u stop paying when a child reaches 18 unless you never paid money for the whole 18 years! if you missed a few years then u need to pay & make up for the years you had missed! Follow Louise's advice thou and contact the link she gave you

Hi hump1672

I'm guessing your daughter will be earning £104 a week (we have apprentices where I work) which is minimum wage for under 21s.

Child maintenance can be paid up to the age of 20, basically if the 'child' qualifies for child benefit or child tax credits.

In this case I don't think maintenance isn't payable.
