Hi Sally, I have never really watched it before this year, but my daughter has insisted on mother/daughter time and I am now quite into it!

They started the semi finals last night and they will be showing 9 or 10 acts every evening at 7.30 where the public can vote (I won't cast my vote, it costs money! But we do have fun deciding our own favourites)

Collabro won the vote last night, with the magician getting a place in the final too. We wanted the impressionist, but ho hum!!

Anna I have been absolutely glued, it is one of my favourite programmes of the year.

On Monday, although Darcy the magician was very...toothsome...I felt the impressionist should have gone through with the opera boys. Tuesday, yes James Smith. Thursday I loved the two little rapping boys, Bars and Melody and was glad the crazy violinist girl got through, I thought the irish dancers were pants, so old-fashioned. Loved the guys in high heels too.

The final is next Saturday (7th) So far, Callabro (opera boys) is my favourite.

I thought the young lad who wrote his song was impressive.  I loved the guys in the high heels too...

I wonder if the young lad who wrote his own song will get the extra "wild card" place?

Thought it was ridiculous that the old lady went through, she is fantastic for her age but surely one of the points of this show is to lauch new talent and kick-start a career?

I think they just did it because it had been her dream since she was a little girl and she never had the opportunity to follow her one dream. Maybe they wanted to tell her this way that she would have made it.....but you are right it is for young talent, but I think the good ones will now be picked out anyway as now they are known

I have had a rollercoaster of viewing!

Recorded it, got home from social event, started watching and 40 minutes in there was a power cut. OH NO! Power was only out for 10 mins then I also recorded on plus one when it came on again, then watched it across the three recordings, took a maths calculation to work it out but managed it. Totally fab final and the winning act was my choice, hurray!!

Sorry, I was away over the weekend.  We went to watch Cats in the theatre in Llandudno, so only watched BGT yesterday.

The ones who won were the ones I supported :-))  I thought the final was excellent.
