sunny days

Hi,

I am a single Dad in St Ives/Huntingdon area and sole carer for my 9yr old daughter and our 5 month old puppy.  Don't know if this is just for single mums but would be great if anyone wanted to organise a group/get together locally......dads or mums or both!

Cheers
Dan

Hi Dan, welcome to One Space. It is for single Mums and Dads, so you are more than welcome :) We have a few Dads here, who I'm sure will be around at some point.

How long have you been a single Dad? How are you finding it? Do you have support from friends and family? Hopefully so.

Others will be along to welcome you. It's a lovely group, very friendly, warm, supportive etc. I'm guessing some are out enjoying the sunshine.

Keep posting, and I'll chat some more soon

Take care

Alison

Hi sunny days, you have definitely captured this glorious weather with that user name!

Do have a look on Your Local and see if there is anything on in your area, or feel free to advertise it yourself?

How are you and your daughter enjoying your puppy?  Is it a he or a she? Are they past the chewing absolutely everything stage?! Do you meet people when taking the pup out for a walk?

HI Lorna, Pia and Dan. I don't know if you are both still on here but I would be interested in meeting up with single parents in the Huntingdon area...so maybe we could chat?

Hi Redlyn

Just seen your post. I am not too far away from Huntingdon. I don't know it that well but I sometimes take my children to the park area where the boats are.

Hi all, it seems that we are getting more and more people wanting to meet up on these boards.

On One Space our aim is for all single parents to be able to get support from one another and specialists whilst remaining anonymous.

So therefore we do not encourage members to make arrangements on these message boards.

Please do have a look at this article on Making New Friends (click) where, if you scroll down, you will see a list of websites that you can join to meet other people.

We thank you for your cooperation!
