Well it seems all i ever talk about on here is doom and gloom so thought id share some of the funny stories I have been experiencing with my littleangel who is now 9 going on 15 and has the ability to prove to me in 10 seconds flat i am anything but a 'cool' parent...

Her favourite phrase at the moment is "mum you are SO embarressing" I literally dont have to do anything other than say hi to her friends and i have 'embarressed' her.

Me and my friend and her little girl were listening to some old music we used to like and we both got up to do an old dance routine my friends daughter thought it was hilarious. Little angel hid and then said "omg mum sit down you are not young anymore" niceeeee lol

Sports day, first my daughter didnt tell me it was even sports day and when I found out she begged me not to come. When I went and it was parent races I was dragged up by a teacher all the other kids were cheering their mums on my daughter had her head in her hands saying "shame, shame"

How have i become so embarressing...?!

haha little angel, I think we are all embarrassing to our parents, I know I started when they were quite small by singing Shania Twain songs very loudly on the way to school. Nowadays I pretend to get the names of various singing stars mixed up and say to him things like "I like that new TINNY Tempah record" or "My favourite is that there DOCTOR Green" just so he can roll his eyes

Lol its funny isnt it. I always remeber how i used to think my mum was so 'past it' and 'uncool' and as I am now a mum I never saw myself like that i thought I was very "down with the kids" but angel tells me otherwise... Mind you sometimes when I speak I think "oh my god i have turned in to my mum" lol

Yes, I have found that gets worse as you get older. Especially when you catch yourself saying some of the things that were said to you as a child! But the time I know I am REALLY not cool is when my son sets off for his night out at 9.30pm and I am thinking "Ooh I am so glad I am in my jamas and staying at home"!

My daughter always thought I was cool! As I was younger than all her friends parents, she used to tell me how cool I was and her friends thought so too! Until I turned 40 last year, then all I hear is Now you are old. Ha ha I remind her that she is old too!! (18!)
