bluebutterfly

Hi everyone, I've been a victim of verbal and sexual abuse by my Ex partner for the past 4-5 years. I finally stood up to him and got him arrested.

At present he is on bail, I'm suffering severely mentally, my housing benefit has been suspended, ESA has been stopped.

I don't want to leave the house as I'm afraid I'm going to bump into my Ex or one of his friends.

Is there anyone out there who can actually come and help me with my welfare side of things and my mental state.

regards

Susan

Hi bluebutterfly,

Well done for finally standing up to him.  Arrange a meeting with your local citizens advice bureau or call the womens aid helpline number and they will have someone who can help you.

From the 24th April it is free to get a non-molestation order (injunction) I would advise this to ensure he doesn't worm his way back in.

Stay strong and safe xx

Hi bluebutterfly and welcome to One Space, its nice to have you join us Smile

Big pat on the back to you for standing up to your ex, it takes a lot of courage.

It is understandable that you don't want to go out for the fear of bumping into him or his friends, visit the Womens Aid directory to find an office close to you, where someone might be able to come and visit you. Alternatively you can call their 24 hour helpline on 0808 2000247 to get more information first. They will be able to support you face to face, meanwhile we can support you online.

Do you know why your housing benefit and ESA has been put on hold/stopped?

Do you have any friends or neighbours locally that you could invite round to drop in some milk and sugar etc?

We are here to support you through this, please do not think you are alone.
