White Ribbon Campaign (WRC) Starts Today

The WRC is the largest effort in the world of men working to end men's violence against women.

Each year, the campaign urges men and boys to wear a ribbon for one or two weeks, starting on November 25, the International Day for the Eradication of Violence Against Women.  White Ribbon UK supports women's organisations and human rights organisations in their campaigns to end violence against women both in the UK and overseas.

Throughout the campaign men and boys are encouraged to wear a ribbon, including one on their coat so the ribbon will be visible while they're outdoors. Men are also encouraged to talk in schools, workplaces, and places of worship about the problem of violence.

How can you get involved?

  • Send an email to your male friends, colleagues and team mates asking them to sign the white ribbon pledge.
  • Start a conversation with your male friends about violence against women.
  • Mention it on your blog if you have one
