Interested in joining a virtual online single parent group in your area?
Single Parent Action Network (SPAN) is trying out this new idea in two areas of England to start with. The idea behind the local group is that, as well as working as a support group, people can swap information about activities for kids, family events, childcare, training, etc, with the potential to meet up at community events. SPAN will also provide information about organisations offering support or other services locally. They will be separate message boards dedicated to single parents living in a town plus surrounding area or a county.
The two initial areas will be selected partly on the number of people wanting to join. So if you would like to be part of this pilot project please email groups@spanuk.org.uk and remember to say where you live.
