Participants needed for documentary series offering free DNA test

Posted by EMILY HENDERSON at August 04. 2008

Hi,

I am a researcher on the SMG Productions (Glasgow) television show called DNA Stories, and we are currently looking for people to take part in the programme which helps trace long-lost relatives through DNA testing.

Due to air in October on Sky Real Lives, it is presented by Lorraine Kelly and this is the 2nd series of the programme. It is filmed in an enclosed studio (no audience), and done in a documentary style.

We are looking for contributors aged 18-30 for the programme, who may have an issue that can be resolved by DNA testing, such as a paternity dispute.  We offer those who appear on the show a free DNA test, done by an approved DNA testing company.

We are looking for interesting, emotional stories. For example, we have so far been contacted by people who have been separated from family members and believe they have found who they are looking for. (The programme is not about tracing distant family trees or testing ethnicity.)

Those interested in appearing please contact 0871 827 5020 or email or emily.henderson@smg.plc.uk

All calls/emails are private and confidential, and those who get in touch are under no obligation to take part.

Thanks

Emily
