The trouble with Christmas (looking for Scots)

Hello,
I'm a feature writer for the Sunday Herald in Scotland and I'm researching an article on Christmas and the problems surrounding particularly for people who are divorced or have complicated stepfamilies. I'm hoping to interview people who have strong views on this or interesting stories to tell. Maybe you are just coming up to your first Christmas as a lone parent, or you have done years of battling with an ex for who gets the kids when. I feel this is a topic that is all too often glossed over as we continue to paint our picture of the perfect two parent family Christmas. What does it feel like when you can't have that?
