For mothers who for one reason or another do not work and are therefore able to take care of their children on a full time basis:
Going from being a housewife with two kids to being a single parent working full time, I appreciate much more now the amount of time and attention I am able to shower on my children - through circumstances I do not work on a Monday to Friday basis. I work as a Relief Care Worker in a home for the elderly (Learning Disabilities), probably once a month.
There are four hours a day (Monday to Friday) at least, when I could be employed earning some much needed money. Except part time jobs that fit in with the school run are like gold dust. I have an idea that the government could make it easy for full time mothers to do some form of work from home. These names are common to us: flexi time, part-time, job share, full time. How about a new title which will serve to employ full time mothers or fathers all over the U K.
Not all parents like being on benefits.
I have spent my time as a full time mother designing a website. My English isn't brilliant but I hope I have conveyed what I am trying to say successfully. Some days I think my idea of 'jobs to fit in with the school run' aimed to employ full time mothers (who wish to work) all over the U K seems ridiculous - an impossibility. Other days when I speak to mothers who worked full time but have given up work to look after their child/children full time it reinforces my believe that something needs to be done to make it possible for full time mothers all over the U K to be able to combine childcare with work.
Feedback will be very much appreciated on my website - I need a voice to help to make a change for the better.

You have hit the nail right on the head with this,
total term time and school run, put us at a disadvantage especially if we don't have any support from absent parent or extended family and friends.
good luck with this
