5.13 – Teaching & rewarding scenarios

In your worksheet, write your advice for each of these situations:

  1. Brushing Beginner: Isobel is five, her dad has been brushing her teeth for her twice a day but he feels it’s time she did it herself. She is reluctant and just stands in the bathroom with her mouth wide open. Isobel loves stars, she gets them at school and is very proud to show them off. She loves chocolate and colouring books.
  2. Homework Hassles: Jahlani is 12. His mum wants him to do his homework each day straight after school. Jahlani loves going to his grandmother’s house, he is a big fan of his local football team (£4.50 a ticket for under 16’s) and likes to make home-made pizzas.
  3. Dog Duties: Zarek is 16. His mum wants him to walk his dog every morning before school. Zarek likes having his friends round (especially for sleepovers and films), he likes to spend time fishing with his uncle and he loves go-karting.

Well done. Let’s see what advice other people came up with.
